Manchester United has been in the sixth position in the Premier League for the long period of time, and with 10 games in hand, it doesn’t seem United will be easily able to get into the top 4 to qualify for the Champions League finals. If they didn’t qualify, it would be two years in a row Reds missing Champions League, and for the club of such great history and stature, it would be a shame.
With the likes of Liverpool, Arsenal, City, and Tottenham at the front, it’s quite hard to break through the top 4. (Chelsea seems to have won the title.) But, when there is will, there is way, and Manchester United have successfully reached the quarter-final of the Europa League and are eyeing the glory for their path to the Champions League. United have already added EFL cup on their bag, and are giving everything to win the Europa League which they have never won in the past.
It’s a long way to winning Europa League, but the Special One, after failing to secure the position on the top 4, has to win the cup. With lots of injuries and lack of goals in the front, United’s Campaign has not been the best. After spending over 180£ on summer to build the team, Jose wasn’t able to build the best winning combination.
Pogba has been heavily criticized for not playing up to the £89 m price tag although many pundits arguing in the favor of Pogba saying he needs time. Mkhitaryan has been one of the best for the United after struggling to get in the team in the early part of the season. Ibrahimovic at his age is doing best, and the team has highly depended on his goals and has struggled in front of the goals without him. With the long time striker Wayne Rooney struggling with goals, United hasn’t found the perfect replacement for the striker.
Jose wants to continue rebuilding the team, but it would be hard to attract prolific players without the place in the Champions League. So, winning Europa League is getting even more crucial for the Red Devils.
